MT. VERNON HOSTS PRESIDENTS DAY FETE

Step back in time this Monday, Feb. 19th, at the fifth annual American Heritage Day at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park. This popular Presidents Day tribute features live portrayals of George & Martha Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Paul Revere. History comes alive with the Sons of the American Revolution, the California Consolidated Fife & Drum Band and the Civil War Association. Enjoy goldpanning and horseshoeing, American Indian weavers and much more. This free event runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Mount Vernon Memorial Park, just east of Sunrise Mall at 8201 Greenback Lane in Fair Oaks. Call (916) 969-1251 for details.
