In 1979 the Class of 1929 held their 50-year reunion. At that reunion they discussed developing a community of San Juan alumni to support San Juan High School and a Social Club. In 1980 the San Juan Alumni Association was born. Since 1980 the SJAA has grown in membership and support from San Juan Alumni and San Juan Faculty(past & present). As of the end of the school year 2007, the SJAA has awarded over $160,000 in scholarships to San Juan Students in the last 27 years. The club is open to anyone who has ever attended San Juan High School in the last 94 years or worked at San Juan High. The dues are $10 a year, and along with supporting your Alma Mater, you will receive 3 newsletters a year with updates on San Juan activities, classmates and faculty.
